Ropen in East Malaysia?

A man in Malaysia watched the MonsterQuest broadcast (probably the Papua New Guinea expedition with Garth Guessman) and was intrigued with the account of the ropen. Twenty years earlier, in his home village, he used to see similar creatures regularly.
“[I used to see] them at night near my home. glow round light in the sky flying around. i can see them
almost every night. [I don't know] if this [is the] ropen i saw. sometimes up to 3 of them. nowdays is vary hard to see them, even one. i hope they still around if i return to my old home . . . in the [mountain] very nearto the town.”
